Shelter building

Show me your designs, using leaves and vines ……

A small trek into the woods to let the imagination run wild and have fun.

Shelter building can be used for all sorts of things! You can build emergency shelters, pirate ships, elf houses, team ‘sofas,’ or create funky art work – anything you like! It’s a popular final session at the end of a visit as the whole group can do this altogether Safety rules and specifications are set out at the start of the session. Working in small teams they choose an area to build their shelter. This session can be adapted to meet learning outcomes or to combine with school topics. Imagination and creativity are the prominent elements along with team building skills.
