Tracking and Trailing

Hide’n’seek and way-finding in the woods

This game needs two teams. The first group goes ahead into the woods to lay a trail, usually flour, twigs or stones pointing the way. After a while, the second group go out and follow the trail to find the others. Once found, the groups swap roles.

This can be played just for fun, but for older students we can add in orienteering, team building and leadership skills. This activity can be adapted to suit any needs.

Location: Great Wood, woods.
